- Entry Background/Description: Being diagnosed with a brain tumor and dealing with the long-term effects of the disease and its treatment is a formidable undertaking. One that shouldn’t be tackled alone. At our Heads Up Conference (HUC for short), participants share their experiences and connect with one another to form a network of support for times ahead. HUC is a unique educational program for young adult survivors of brain tumors who are dealing with long-term effects of both their disease and its treatment. HUC offers an opportunity for these young adults to meet, learn, share and have fun. The Heads Up Conference is facilitated in partnership with the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.
- Why You Should Vote for Me: This program is unique because it serves adults living with the ongoing impacts of surviving brain cancer. We create a safe space where survivors can be themselves and receive the medical support they need to thrive in a camp environment. This is our most popular program of the season and we look forward to it every year.
