Entry Background/Description: The Drive-A-Thon is our second largest fundraising event of the year and was created by camper parents/volunteers in memory of their daughter Kathryn "Panda" Bradley. The Drive-A-Thon is a unique event where donors, volunteers, and participants come together with a shared love of fast cars and Goodtimes. Attendees bring their sports cars and drive around a racetrack, giving rides to campers and their families. Lunch is served, and an online silent auction and in person live auction are held.
Why You Should Vote for Me: This event is so special because it provides an opportunity for donors and supporters to engage with our campers and families in a way that is not performative or causing anyone to feel like they are "on show" for donations. It is truly a delight on both ends: for drivers to see first-hand the joy they are helping to create, and for the campers and families to get high-speed thrills around the track. What originally started as a fundraising event has morphed into a dual fundraiser and program that is highly anticipated by drivers and camper families alike.
